Discussing Time

The project is divided into two parts, the first part is to create sculpture of the 4 letters for defining 'time' from my point of view.
Time to me is a kind of record, a witness and a measurement of life. It records all your growth, and it’ll leave a trace. The forms of time existence is passing, changing, and become eternal in our memories.

The second part is a brochure design with excerpts from Einstein's theory of relativity, a description of my sculpture’s concept and the perception of my sculpture from my classmates.
The layout of the brochure was influenced by the typographic format of the Dark Ages illustrated scriptures. In order to create such historical feeling, I need to refer to the ancient book samples.
By understanding the characteristics of quaint article typography, we can use the modern digital means to creatively implement the elegant typography of the old era.

The maze of ‘Sum’

This project I took an excerpt out of David Eagleman’s novel ‘Sum’ and created a poster to reflect my impression of ‘Sum’. From reading his words, I feel that I am anxious, don’t know what to do with all those long time activities.
I want to get out of those description words while I stuck. In addition I chose the maze as my concept image for this poster.
